UK Dharma Celebration

The UK Dharma Celebration is an annual Kadampa Buddhist event held at Tara Centre. Inspired by the modern day Buddhist Master, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Celebration is taught by Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, the Deputy Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU. It is a special opportunity for people from across the UK and overseas to gather together and enjoy a meaningful autumn holiday, with spiritual teachings, guided meditations and prayers – a chance to relax with friends in a beautiful and peaceful place. All the proceeds from the UK Dharma Celebration go to the International Temples Project, a Buddhist charity building temples dedicated to World Peace in major cities across the globe.
The UK Dharma Celebration 2008 ran between September 11th and 14th. To find out how it went and to see some pictures, go to our latest news page. The UKDC 2009 will take place between the 10th & 13th of September, with teachings on ‘Eight Verses of Training the Mind’ by Geshe Langri Tangpa & the blessing empowerment of Buddha Amitayus.
