Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

The UK Dharma Celebration is inspired by the internationally renowned Buddhist master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Geshe Kelsang is the founder and Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), a network of over 1,100 Buddhist Centres and Branches worldwide, and the author of 21 highly acclaimed books on Kadampa Buddhism. Through his tireless work to provide all the conditions necessary to enter, make progress on and complete the Buddhist path to peace and happiness, people across the world now have the opportunity to study and practise the timeless wisdom of Buddha's teachings in a way that is especially suited to our modern way of life.

The Celebration will be taught by Kadam Bridget Heyes, the NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director for the UK and Resident Teacher of Nagarjuna Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Northamptonshire. Kadam Bridget is a dedicated disciple of Venerable Geshe-la, known for her powerful teachings and compassionate heart. Kadam Bridget has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for many years and shows an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path.
